Book Launch: William Lane's 'Saturation'
Event description
Please join William Lane for the launch of his new novel, Saturation,
at Berkelouw Books Hornsby, Wednesday 7th May, 6.00 p.m –
7.30 p.m.
In
Saturation, Ambrose and Ursula, both librarians, wish to have
a child, despite living in an increasingly hostile world. Apparently
random waves of suffering and acts of violence well up into the
everyday. When a fascist leader, Bottrel, attempts to rewrite the
past, he begins selectively to cull library collections, and to
persecute librarians. Ambrose and Ursula attempt to remain outside
this conflict, but inevitably are drawn into it, through their desire
to preserve their libraries, and to protect their child.
William
Lane is the author of six novels, all published by Transit Lounge. He
is also the author of a short story collection, Small Forest.
He grew up in Sydney, and has set Saturation in an area not
unlike Hornsby.
