Description

*Sold Out* Book Reading with Sufi Mystic Pir Zia Inayat Khan

in Conversation with Humera Afridi

Offered in collaboration with Shaykha Fariha and the Nur Ashki Jerrahi Community

**This event is Sold Out. Please join us for a Mother's Day book reading in Brooklyn on Sunday instead!**

We invite you to share an evening with us to celebrate the new book, Tears from the Mother of the Sun, written by Pir Zia Inayat Khan, featuring striking artwork by Amruta Patil. In this globe-spanning chronicle, Pir Zia sets forth an astonishing sequence of legends revealing little-known connections between ancient cultures and spiritual lineages, resulting in an unexpected marriage of myth and history.

Following a reading, Humera Afridi will set the stage for a conversation about the book, the relationship between art and spirituality, Divine play, and magic, mysticism, and alchemy on the Sufi path. The evening will conclude with a short meditation, welcoming guidance from the illuminated souls called upon in the book. All are welcome.

Books: Tears from the Mother of the Sun
