Book Themed Friendemonies: "Tie the Knot" with Your Book Bestie!

Have you ever said to your best friend, "We should just get married?" Practically live at your best friend's place?Ā Do you and your best friend constantly discuss books?Ā 

Then this is the event for you two!

August 9 is National Book Lover's Day, and we want to celebrate you and the best book friend in your life with aĀ Book Themed Friendemony!

How does the event work?Ā 

1:45pm to 2:45pm: Decorate bookmarks that you will swap with each other after "I do!" As well as other fun book themed crafts. People not participating in the ceremonies can attend this too, but there will be special bookmarks just for people participating in the ceremonies!

3pm to 5pm: Ten minute ceremonies every 15 minutes (8 limited slots available). After your ceremony, you will get a five to ten minute private photoshoot inside the bookstore. Ceremonies will be taking place outside. People not participating in the ceremonies, can enjoy the ceremonies, or silent reading inside the bookstore!

5pm to 6:30pm: Book ThemedĀ Reception for all! Dancing and games in the backyard, silent reading Book themed snacks and mocktails provided. Everyone is invited to this party! Ceremony participants will receive a special toast, and treat.

If you are signing up for a ceremony, please reading the following:

You will purchase a "Ceremony" ticket on the next page for your ceremony, which is $20. You only need to purchase one ticket for you and your best friend. This will also include 15% off any book(s) purchases during the event. And a goodie bag! With this ticket we ask that you please arrive by 2:15 to give you time to make a bookmark, and not be late for the ceremonies.

If you are not signing up for a ceremony, and want to still join in the festivities, please read the following:

You will purchase an "Attendee" ticket, and can enter the event anytime from 1:45pm to 5:30pm.

Please Note:

This event is for ages 18+, and the weddings are NOT real.

Also note that parking for our store is either street parking. OrĀ there is the parking garage attached to Tokyo Bakery, across from Bird, and isĀ about a two minute walk to our store.
