Booking Your First Circus Gig

Have you started making your first circus act and now want to work out where you can perform it? and maybe also how to get paid to perform it?

This workshop is a basic overview into the things you need to get booked as a circus artist and some of the pathways you can take to get on stage! Plus my best tips for marketing yourself and shows in the arts. 

Whether booking gigs is something you are already working on or just something you are starting to dream of this workshop is for you - expect practical advice and templates to take home with you.

Please bring a laptop or note book, a couple of your favourite circus costumes (if you have any, absolutely no issues if not) and if you are someone who wears makeup when performing, come with a face of performance makeup already done. 

Latonya Wigginton is a performing artist working across genres, with a focus on circus. In her personal practise she aims to create works that are joyful and foster human connection. She has toured across Australia and internationally with companies such as One Fell Swoop Circus and Highwire Entertainment.

Outside of her work on stage she is also an experienced arts administrator with a passion for project management, marketing and web design. She has produced numerous award-winning circus works and loves to help artists get on top of admin!
