An inspiring evening with author Kennedy Warne
Event description
Join us on Friday, 23 May, at 6:00 pm for an unforgettable evening with Kennedy Warne — acclaimed author, radio commentator and founder of New Zealand Geographic.
A lifelong explorer and storyteller, Kennedy has brought the natural world to readers and listeners for decades. His latest book, Soundings: Diving for Stories in the Beckoning Sea, offers a fascinating glimpse into his underwater adventures for National Geographic. As the outdoors and environment correspondent for RNZ’s Nine to Noon, he takes audiences off the beaten track to discover the hidden wonders of Aotearoa and beyond.
Alongside his environmental writing, Kennedy has co-authored two children’s books with illustrator Heather Hunt — The Cuckoo and the Warbler and It’s My Egg: And You Can’t Have It. He is also a writer and editor for the Māori-Pasifika magazine e-Tangata, where he helps bring important stories to light.
Don’t miss this chance to hear Kennedy share his experiences, insights and deep connection to the natural world.
