Bookshop Sessions returns to RoseyRavelston Books! This time we're jazzing it up for a truly unique experience for all you kool kats.

Presented by FogSoc we've got a stellar lineup:

Harley Coleman is a musician of many worlds. Primarily a jazz and improvising guitarist/composer, he also traverses popular and experimental music as a composer and multi-instrumentalist, quickly solidifying his presence as a dynamic voice within the Sydney creative music scene. An avid composer, Harley maintains a variety of eclectic projects. These include his own solo improvised work, jazz trio, and electric power-group Very Fast Band. For this performance Harley will present a solo, semi-improvised set of his own compositions, jazz standards, and other music. The performance will be a rare solo preview of his upcoming record.

Jazz drummer/composer Kalon Captain is joined by Australian Jazz icons Lloyd Swanton on bass (The Necks, The Catholics) and Gary Daley on piano (Bungarribee, The Catholics) for an evening of entirely improvised music. Through the joy of pure spontaneity this ensemble will explore the spaces between ambient music and contemporary Jazz, transporting listeners into deep meditative soundscapes and undulating grooves.
