Books That Move You
Event description
BOOKS THAT MOVE YOU
Suitable for teachers of F-10
There are stories all around us, just waiting to be hatched.
Author-illustrator, Trace Balla, has caught many stories on her travels down rivers and across landscapes, and hatched them into award-winning picture books such as Rivertime, Rockhopping, and The Thank You Dish.
Watch this beautiful video story about Trace and her work, as featured on the ABC's Gardening Australia program
Join Trace for a special story-making workshop where you’ll experience being in your students’ shoes as you create a ‘travelling story’ and a ‘story map’. Walk away feeling inspired and confident to support your students to catch and hatch their own stories.Â
This approach can be tailored to any age group or ability, including early literacy, and get reluctant students excited to use words!
PLEASE NOTE: For this workshop you will need a few pieces of A4 paper and a pen.Â
This session will NOT be recorded and therefore not available to view on EEV's YouTube channel.
This ‘Stories of Sustainability’ professional learning workshop is supported by the Department of Education, Strategic Partnerships Program.
