Description

Join us for the 2026 Pallamallawa Trial Farm Walk & Machinery Demonstration this September 🌱

Wednesday 30 September 2026, 10am–3pm "Popinguy", County Boundary Rd, Pallamallawa, NSW

In place of a NSW Field Day this year, Boolah will open the gates to the "Popinguy" trial farm at Pallamallawa for a practical Trial Farm Walk and Machinery Demonstration. This smaller, on-ground event gives growers, agronomists, advisers, industry partners and local stakeholders the chance to walk through current trial sites, connect with trial farm participants and hear the latest research, findings and discoveries coming through Boolah's commercial-scale trial farm network.

What to expect on the day

  • A guided walk through the active trial sites

  • On-ground conversations with the people running the trials

  • The latest findings and seasonal observations from Boolah's network

  • Live machinery demonstrations in the paddock

  • A smaller, more focused format than a field day

Machinery demonstrations

New for 2026 — a working line-up of equipment running in the paddock, not parked on a trade site. Demonstrations planned include:

  • Autonomous weed control — a Fendt autonomous tractor pulling Hayes Spraying's mechanical weeder

  • Autonomous sprayer fill — a SwarmFarm SwarmBot auto-filling the Fendt sprayer, fitted with green-on-green cameras

  • Chaser bin with on-board scales — a Waringa chaser bin handling Kivis granules, with live weights

  • Inside a header — a Fendt header opened up so you can walk through the machine and see how it works

  • Spreader accuracy — an Agri-Spread spreader from Waringa running a live accuracy test with coated urea

  • Camera spraying on a side-by-side — Case IH's green-on-green Sense Spray camera system, mounted on a side-by-side

  • Planting — a Boss planter and air cart fitted with the FurrowMate

  • Soil testing — PSS Ag's soil testing machine in action

Final line-up confirmed closer to the day.

Good to know

  • Machinery demonstrations. Stay behind the marked exclusion lines and follow the directions of the operators and the Boolah team at all times.

  • Food. A BBQ lunch and refreshments will be provided.

  • On-site conditions. Please stay on the marked routes and observe all signage. No dogs, no drones, no smoking.
