Event description

Louise D'Arcy has had many stories published and broadcast in Australia and overseas, including Best Australian Stories, Sleepers Almanac, Award Winning Australian Writing, Broadkill Review (USA), Overland and Australian Short Stories.  In 2010 she won The Age short story contest. Her winning story was later turned into an award-winning short film starring Kat Stewart. She has won the Albury City Short Story competition twice.  She had stories broadcast on Radio National and ABC Victoria.  Novel manuscripts have been shortlisted for the Varuna Harper Collins Award and the Canadian 3 Day Novel competition.  (Booranga kindly hosted her three days' writing in a café in Wagga Wagga!)  She has had another novel and a collection of short stories shortlisted for a Varuna Publisher Award.  She was awarded a place at a Regional Writer Masterclass at Varuna Writers Centre.

She is very proud to say she has been published in fourW 20 times since the 1998 edition!
