Botanical Bush Walk
Description
Do you enjoy bushwalks or spending time in our native forests and often wonder what the plants around you are? Or what makes our native plants unique and our forests different from those elsewhere?
If so, join us, slow down and spend a morning among the majestic trees of Ōtanewainuku’s remnant native forest. We’ll take a gentle-paced walk, learning to recognise common native plants, look more closely at different plant groups and understand what makes our forest ecosystems unique. Whether you're new to plant identification or simply curious to learn more about the bush around you, this is a chance to slow down and see the forest from a new perspective.
Toi Ohomai Environmental Management staff will guide us along the way, with regular stops and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn something new.
