Botanical Bush Walk
Description
Slow down and spend a morning among the majestic trees of Ōtanewanuku’s unlogged native forest, learning about its native plants and forest ecosystem.
Join Debashis Dutta, a botanist, plant ecologist and lecturer at Toi Ohomai, for a gentle paced walk through the bush. With regular stops along the way, we'll learn to identify native plants, look more closely at different plant groups and learn about their role in the wider forest ecosystem. There'll be lots of opportunities to ask questions and learn something new, whatever your level of knowledge.
