Botanical Concertina Journal

Are you eager to craft a unique concertina journal, perfect for capturing sketches from your travels or showcasing your favorite photos? Join us for a hands on workshop where you will create a stunning cover for your concertina journal, with all materials provided. Unleash your creativity and make a keepsake that reflects your adventures. 

What Will Be covered in the Workshop? 

  • Discover the art of printing botanicals on a gelli plate, explore layered techniques to create beautiful, unique designs
  • Learn how to transform your printed pieces into tunning covers for your concertina journal
  • Master the use of wax to seal and enhance your creations, ensuring durability and a professional finish
  • Join us for a creative journey where you'll combine nature and artistry to craft a one-of-a-kind journal

By the end of this course students will:

Participants will have acquired the skills to mono print, design and create original concertina journals in various sizes, tailored to their unique artistic style. You will leave with a finished concertina. You will have the confidence to craft personalised journals that showcase your creativity and individuality

THIS CLASS IS FOR: Adults – all skill levels, no experience required

TIME: 10 am - 4 pm

DURATION: full day - bring lunch

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Harriet Bystrom studied Visual Arts at Coffs Harbour TAFE for 3 years finishing in 2012.

Harriet has since been teaching adults and children art at Woolgoolga and Coffs Harbour Art Galleries. Harriet has also exhibited in many exhibitions winning prizes for all different types of art work such as mono printing, mixed media, pastels and acrylics.
