Botanical Drawing at The Cedars
Description
Tap into your creativity and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Hans Heysen’s stunning property, The Cedars. Treat yourself to an inspiring and relaxing morning in one of the most picturesque settings in the Adelaide Hills.
Join renowned botanical artist Sandra Johnston for a delightful series of seasonal Sunday workshops with coloured pencil where you’ll create your own botanical masterpiece inspired by nature.
Guided by Sandra’s expert teaching techniques, you’ll learn to:
Observe and sketch leaves, seasonal blossoms, and other botanical subjects found at The Cedars
Develop composition, shading, and colour techniques with coloured pencils
Build confidence in translating natural forms into detailed, expressive artwork
By the end of the session, you’ll have a framed finished artwork ready to take home.
Beginners are warmly invited to join, though some experience with art will help you get the most out of the session as you experiment, create, and refine your skills in the beautiful setting of two of Australia’s most celebrated artists, Hans and Nora Heysen.
All materials provided, although participants are welcome to bring their own artist's pencils if they prefer.
*Each ticket includes a complimentary tea/coffee.
