Description

Unlock your inner artist.

Discover simple sketching tips to capture native plants, then transform your drawings into stunning, lino prints.

  •  Introduction to tools and simple shape drawing tips.

  • Sketch a seed, local leaf or flower.

  • Trace sketches onto lino blocks.

  • Demonstration of safe carving techniques.

  • Participants carve their blocks with hands-on assistance, focusing on texture and outlines.

  • Introduction of ink rolling techniques and printing on cards or paper.

From observation to artwork
Participants discover that they don't need to be expert artists to capture the character of a plant. Simple shapes, lines and textures can be transformed into a striking graphic image.

Create something handmade
There is a special satisfaction in carving your own design and then seeing it appear as a print. Each participant creates an original artwork that reflects their own interpretation of nature.
