Artist Bio:
Mary Lyn has been painting for the last 30 years. With a degree in fine arts, she has been exhibiting and selling her work throughout her career. She paints exclusively botanical, most of the inspiration comes from working in her own garden. She also uses free images at gettyimages.com that is a great resource. She is currently exhibiting at the gallery’s listed below. She also shows at art events such as Art In the Pearl where her imagery was used in their marketing campaign. You can also see her work at marylyngough.com or on artfulhome.com.
She has been teaching for many years, first at the mission cultural center in San Francisco. More recently she held a class at the Oregon Society of Artists. The classes focus on the movement of the paint and how to create light from the paper mixed with shadows to create 3-dimensional imagery.
