Join our local park rangers for an evening stroll in Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park. This ranger-guided walk offers a unique opportunity to experience the park’s wildlife after dark while taking in the breathtaking landscapes that have flourished through the Bounceback conservation program.

For more than 30 years, Bounceback has played a vital role in restoring habitats, recovering threatened species, reintroducing native animals, and revitalising landscapes across the Flinders, Olary, Gammon and Gawler Ranges. In Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park alone, the program has achieved remarkable outcomes, including an increase in yellow-footed rock-wallaby populations and the successful reintroduction of western quolls and brush-tailed possums.

As dusk settles over the ranges, our experienced rangers will guide you through this peaceful environment, where you'll have the opportunity to spot some of the remarkable species that call the park home. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Flinders Ranges and discover the lasting impact of conservation in action. This evening walk is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature while learning about the ongoing efforts to protect and preserve this unique and inspiring landscape.

This activity will involve walking on and off walking trails that maybe uneven. It is not recommended for wheelchair users or people with limited mobility.

Vehicle entry to the park is free for registered attendees.

South Australia’s national parks are bin-free to help protect wildlife and support conservation efforts. Any rubbish you bring with you must be taken away when you leave. We encourage visitors to plan for a waste-free visit wherever possible and Leave No Trace by taking all rubbish home with them.
