Join Bound & Co for an intimate evening with award-winning journalist, author and human rights advocate Antoinette Lattouf, celebrating her latest book, Women Who Win.
Hosted at The Old Rum Store, the evening brings together conversation, books, food and connection — with a format designed to take the traditional author event a little further.
Following an in-conversation with Danielle Asciak, CEO of The Women’s Club, Antoinette will join guests at their tables with a few guests each for smaller, more personal conversations, giving everyone the opportunity to meet her, ask some questions, and have their copy of Women Who Win signed.

The Evening

Arrive, Drink and Connect
When you arrive, we’ll show you to your table where your welcome gift and a nametag will be waiting for you. Grab your drink from the bar before heading out to the balcony, where the Bound & Co team will make a few introductions and help you meet some of the other guests joining us for the evening. As with all Bound & Co events, we’ll make it easy to settle in, meet people and find your table.

In Conversation
Once everyone is seated, shared grazing boards will be served to the tables as Danielle Asciak joins Antoinette for an in-conversation.

At the Table with Antoinette
Instead of finishing the talk with a traditional audience Q&A, we’re doing things a little differently. Following the conversation, Antoinette will make her way around the room, taking a seat at every table for dedicated time to chat, answer questions and personally sign your copy of Women Who Win. While you’re waiting for your table’s turn, the bar will remain open and you’re welcome to circulate the room, continue conversations and connect with other guests. No need to keep an eye on where Antoinette is up to — we’ll come and find you when it’s your table’s turn, so you won’t miss out!

We’ll come back together to wrap up the evening and announce our door prize winners, with gifts generously provided by Penguin Random House and our event sponsors. While our time together at Olio may be coming to an end, yours doesn’t have to. With plenty of great bars and restaurants nearby, you can keep the conversation going with your new connections — whether that’s over a final drink, dessert or something else entirely!

Antoinette Lattouf
Antoinette Lattouf is an award-winning journalist, presenter, podcaster, author and human rights advocate whose surname has now become a verb – Lattoufed: to be sacked or silenced for defending human rights. Her landmark victory in Lattouf v ABC became a flashpoint in debates about free speech, employee rights, institutional cowardice and what happens when a journalist speaks truth to (media) power. She’s the co-creator of independent media company Ette Media, co-founder of Media Diversity Australia, a TEDx speaker and a regular fixture on lists such as the AFR’s 100 Women of Influence and Marie Claire's Women of the Year. Antoinette has also won a host of media, leadership and human rights awards. Her first book, How to Lose Friends and Influence White People, somehow won her friends. Her second book, Women Who Win, is an exploration of Australian women who glanced at the rulebook, chuckled and used it as a coaster while rewriting the terms and deciding for themselves what victory looks like. Known for wielding humour like a weapon – equal parts shield and scalpel – Lattouf’s work spans commercial and public broadcasting, boardrooms, courtrooms and the occasional Murdoch media pile-on. And no, she’s not done yet.
Danielle Asciak
Danielle Asciak is a cultural leader, creative producer and experienced interviewer with a background spanning the arts, public policy and organisational leadership. As CEO of The Women’s Club, she leads its literary and cultural program and the Rose Scott Women Writers Festival, creating platforms for women’s voices and important public conversations. Danielle has interviewed prominent figures including Allegra Spender, Zali Steggall, Bronwyn Bishop, David Williamson, Kathy Lette and Sharon Dodua Otoo. A former performer with an Executive MBA, she brings warmth, curiosity and a strong instinct for drawing out the personal stories behind complex public issues, advocacy and social change.

- CAN I COME ON MY OWN?
Absolutely. Many guests come to Bound & Co events solo, and our events are designed with that in mind. We’ll be there to welcome you, introduce you to other guests and make settling in as comfortable as possible.
- ARE MEN WELCOME?
Absolutely. While Women Who Win centres the stories and experiences of women, this event is open to everyone. Men and guests of all genders are very welcome to join us for the conversation.
- ARE NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AVAILABLE?
Yes. Non-alcoholic options will be available as an alternative to the included welcome drink, and additional non-alcoholic drinks can be purchased from the bar throughout the evening.
- IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE?
Yes. The event space at Old Rum Factory is accessible via lift. If you have any specific accessibility requirements or would like us to consider anything when arranging your seating, please contact us ahead of the event at hello@boundandco.com.au.
- CAN I SIT WITH MY FRIENDS?
Of course. If you’re booking separately from someone you’d like to sit with, you’ll be able to provide their name during checkout. We’ll do our best to seat you together.
- WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
You’ll be asked to provide any dietary requirements during checkout so these can be passed on to the venue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can best accommodate you.
- DO I NEED TO BRING A COPY OF WOMEN WHO WIN?
No. Every ticket includes a copy of Women Who Win, which will be waiting for you at the event. Antoinette will also be signing copies during her time at each table.
- WILL FOOD BE PROVIDED?
Yes. Shared grazing boards will be served to each table and are included in your ticket.
- WILL I GET TO MEET ANTOINETTE?
Yes. Rather than a traditional audience Q&A, Antoinette will spend dedicated time at every table following the in-conversation. While you wait for your table’s turn, you’re free to visit the bar and mingle with other guests — we’ll find you when it’s your turn so you won’t miss out.
- WHAT IF I ALREADY OWN A COPY OF WOMEN WHO WIN?
Every ticket includes a copy of Women Who Win as part of the event experience, so the book cannot be removed from your ticket. If you already have a copy, consider having your new copy personally signed by Antoinette and gifting it to a friend — or keeping a signed copy for yourself!
