Bow and Bead Set
Event description
Bow and Bead Set with Luna Jang
Cost: $230 or $225 members
Bring a breath of fresh air and lots of charm to your afternoon tea! Hand build this beautiful set in clay with guest ceramicist Luna Jang. These four pieces have smooth textures, delicate details and lots of heart. In just five hours make a large plate, a medium plate and two sweet mugs adorned with bows. Leave the work with us to bisque-fire, glaze, and glaze-fire and we’ll email you when your bow and bead set is ready to pick up. It couldn’t be simpler! All add-on services included in the workshop fee.
This workshop explores sumptuous ornamentation on classic functional forms to help turn your daily rituals into something special. The set is decorated with sculpted bows and classic beaded details, with a fresh white glaze which reflects the light and plays with shadows. Learn Luna’s decoration techniques and use the skills to apply to other pieces, or create more beautiful bow and bead sets in your own time.
Measurements are approximately:
Large plate x 1: (L) 28.5 x (W) 23 x (H) 3cm
Regular plate x 1: (L) 23.5 x (W) 17.5 x (H) 1.5cm
