Class Sessions/Choices

  • Archery (M)

Learn about archery equipment and how to shoot a bow. Then try your hand on the archery range. We will be using Matthews Genesis compound bows, which have an easy draw weight.

  • Bird Watching Stroll (E-M)

Learn how to attract birds to your own backyard and discover a few basic steps to increase your identification skills. We'll cover equipment, resources and spend plenty of time in the field.

  • Deer Butchering I - Skinning & Initial Breakdown (E)

Learn the first steps of processing a deer in this live demonstration. We'll walk through proper skinning techniques, field-to-table best practices, and how to safely quarter and break down a whole deer for further processing. While this class is primarily a demonstration, several participants will have the opportunity to assist with the hands-on work. Whether you're a new hunter or looking to become more self-sufficient, this class will give you the confidence to take the next step when butchering an animal.

  • Intro to Fly Fishing - Part I (M)

This class will focus on fly-casting and will introduce you to the skills needed to get on the water. Participants will learn to cast, flies to use, and knot tying. Class designed for beginners and/or fly anglers that need a refresher or want to learn more.

  • Mystery Cave Scenic Tour (E-M)

Explore the world of Mystery Cave with its stalactites, stalagmites, and underground pools. Everyone should experience this site once in a lifetime! Our tour with a DNR naturalist will take one hour. We will travel 35 minutes to the site in Eagle Bluff vans. Extra Class Fee: $17

  • Trailering & Backing (E)

Loading a trailer correctly and safely, securing the load and learning to back a trailer will be covered in this class.
