Bowmore Scotch Tasting w/ Spanish Sherry & Tapas

Women Who Whiskey Los Angeles is beyond excited to invite you to a special evening with Bowmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky on Wednesday, November 12th at 7:00 p.m. at female chef-owned Xuntos @barxuntos in Santa Monica.

Richard Varga @rich.varga, Scotch Portfolio Brand Ambassador for Beam Suntory, will taste us through four sherry-finished Bowmore Single Malt Scotch Whiskies including the new iterations of Bowmore 18 and Bowmore 21. These are not yet available on the market...we will be among the first to try them!

In addition to the four whiskies, we will sip two Spanish sherry apéritifs as Scott Baker, Beverage Director for Xuntos, tells us about Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximenez sherry -- the two most commonly used sherry casks for finishing whiskey.

The evening will include a multi course Spanish tapas menu by Owner/Chef Sandra Cordero @chefsandracordero whose Gasolina Café in Woodland Hills was a valley favorite for a decade. The charming and fabulous Chef Sandra -- a James Beard WEL Fellow & co-founder of Regarding Her, a national nonprofit supporting women in hospitality -- will join us to chat over dessert!

Xuntos means "together" in Gallego and the menu is Chef Sandra's love letter to summers in Spain and features the iconic dishes of Galicia, Catalunya & San Sebastian.

****Guests will also receive a gift box containing a 375ml bottle of Bowmore 12 yo Single Malt Scotch to take home!
