Event description

BOLT is turning 20 this year! Come kick off our growing season celebration with a series of jazz concerts in several of our Brooklyn and Queens gardens curated by bassist and composer Tony DePaolis. A Pittsburgh native recently relocated to Brooklyn, Tony’s cross-genre compositions have been performed by Daru Jones (drummer with Jack White), Horace Silver alum Roger Humphries, and jazz educator Sean Jones. He has also worked extensively as a sideman with guitar greats Joe Negri of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood fame and Jimmy Ponder.

We can’t imagine a better way to begin our 20th summer together than this series, which will offer performances by carefully curated artists coming together to pay tribute to the spirit of community embodied by the BQLT mission, with special care to note the history of the music presented.

We encourage attendees to make a suggested donation of 25 dollars or more, but no cost tickets tickets are also available.
