Branching Out: Art, flora and fauna of Umbagong District Park
Description
Floriade is blooming, and our native wildflowers are starting to put on a show too!
One of the best places to see them locally is Umbagong District Park — home to a beautiful Blue Devil Grassland.
We might be a little early for the wildflowers to be at their peak, but there’s still plenty to see at Umbagong.
Our expert guide, John Fitz Gerald from the Umbagong Landcare Group, will share his knowledge and teach us about the plants, birds, creek, and ecology of the park. John will also show us the local art work by Geoff Filmer, part of a series of flora and fauna murals commissioned by Icon Water for their infrastructure.

BIOGRAPHY
John Fitz Gerald wears a few hats in the local landcare scene - the relevant ones for the grassland walk are many years of working in Friends of Grasslands, the Umbagong Landcare Group and Canberra Nature Map.
