We’re back at The Greek House — a space we’ve hosted plenty of Khawat events in but this time, we’re doing something a little different.

We’re bringing you breakfast.

Join us for a Shami / Levantine Arabic breakfast, bringing together the flavours, sounds and feeling of home around one big table.

Think fresh bread, eggs, hummus, falafel, olives, mint tea and Arabic / Turkish coffee — basically, everything you need for a proper Arabic breakfast. 🫓🧆☕️

Whether you’re missing home and want to enjoy a traditional breakfast, you’ve never had an Arabic breakfast but have always wanted to try one, or you simply want to meet some like-minded wāhine — this breakfast is for you.

And if you’re feeling nervous because you don’t know anyone — that’s okay.

That’s the whole point of Khawat.

You can walk in not knowing anyone and walk away with new connections, new friendships and a network of women from across Aotearoa and around the world.

We call it networking in non-conventional ways — because sometimes the best conversations happen over Arabic breakfast, good coffee and, of course, the sounds of Umm Kulthum or Fairuz in the background.

Our event policy

Tickets are non-refundable.

By attending a Khawat event, you acknowledge and agree that photography and video may take place during the event and that content captured may be used by Khawat for marketing, communications and promotional purposes.

We’ll always do our best to be respectful and accommodating, but we cannot guarantee that you will not appear in photos or videos taken during the event.
