Breakfast with the Birds 2026
Description
Banyule's annual Breakfast with the Birds event is a chance to get out into one of our amazing local natural areas, Banyule Flats, to explore and see some amazing local birdlife.
Our walks are on pre-designed routes with local bird experts who will help you spot and identify birds you see and teach you some interesting facts too.
The event ends up back at our starting destination where a delicious breakfast will await you and provide the chance to rest, network and listen to some inspiring presentations.
What to bring
Clothing appropriate for the weather at the time
Closed toed and sturdy shoes
Drinking water
Binoculars, if you have them.

Accessibility
Please keep in mind that the guided tour will take approximately 2 hours to complete and some walking routes will be more or less difficult and accessible than others. There will be a choice on the day which route to take, keeping in mind that group numbers will still have to be distributed fairly.

From September through November 2026, the Spring Outdoors Program, hosted by Banyule, Manningham and Nillumbik councils, provides a wide variety of environmental events, designed to get our community out, active and into nature.
