A workshop designed for health professionals to support your communication with vulnerable patients.

Learning outcomes: 

  • Understand the basic neuroscience of trauma, grief and stress responses
  • Develop knowledge and supportive language when breaking bad news and having difficult conversations
  • Understand how to create an envirconment of safety for patients who are experiencing complex diagnosis or loss
  • Learn trauma informed comunication skills that support your patients wellbeing
  • Understand ways to support patients who become highly distressed

Who we are? 

Liana is the founder of Day Dot Midwifery and Support. She is an endorsed midwife who specialises in perinatal bereavement and pregnancy after loss. She has 20 years of experience and is a skilled educator who is also a bereaved parent.

Amy is the founder of Brisbane Grief Counselling, she offers individual counselling, groups and breathwork. She is a social worker and therapist who specialises in grief, loss and bereavement. She has 15 years of experience and brings minties to most training days.
