    Event description

Charles Sturt Alumnus Louie Liu will share his story of reform and redemption through higher education. Participants will leave the event with a deeper understanding of the challenges and triumphs faced by individuals transitioning from incarceration to reintegration. They will gain valuable insights from both personal stories and expert analyses, fostering empathy and inspiring action towards supporting prisoner reform initiatives.

Guest speakers include Bernhard Ripperger, Acting Deputy Commissioner for Community Industry and Capacity and Charles Sturt University's Dr John Gaffey, Senior Lecturer in Criminology.

Artwork from Girrawaa Arts Centre at Bathurst Correctional Centre will be auctioned at the event, with proceeds going towards a scholarship aiming to support students at Charles Sturt University with a history of incarceration.  Additional opportunities to support the scholarship will also be available.
