Breaking Myths & Building Bonds: Perimenopause and Mental Health
Event description
Perimenopause and Mental Health – Breaking Myths and Building Bonds
Presented by Mariela Fernanda Rossi
Registered Psychologist (AHPRA), B.A. Psychology (University of Buenos Aires), Master's Candidate in Women's Health (University of Technology Sydney)
This session aims to raise awareness about how hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause impact mental health and overall wellbeing in women. While these topics were once rarely discussed and kept private, society is beginning to acknowledge them more openly. However, much of the information circulating is still inaccurate and filled with myths.
In this session, you will:
Understand how hormonal changes influence emotional and mental health.
Learn how to identify reliable sources of information.
Break myths and open conversations around women's health.
Discover the power of shared experiences and building support networks.
By the end, you will feel informed, supported, and connected — equipped with knowledge and community to navigate this important stage of life.
