Join us for an empowering workshop designed specifically for immigrant daughters, as we navigate the essential topics of sex, communication, and setting healthy boundaries. In a safe and culturally inclusive space, we'll engage in open dialogues to foster understanding, promote self-awareness, and empower you with essential knowledge for making informed decisions.
Workshop Highlights:
- Cultural Awareness: Explore how cultural backgrounds influence attitudes towards sex, body and relationships, and learn to embrace and respect diverse perspectives from a place of authenticity.
- Breaking Taboos: Debunk myths, challenge cultural taboos surrounding sex and pleasure, and open up meaningful conversations to build confidence in yourself.
- Setting Healthy Boundaries: Discover the power of setting boundaries as a way to prioritize your physical and emotional well-being, while staying true to yourself.
- Understanding Consent: Gain a clear understanding of consent, its importance, and how to communicate and respect boundaries in intimate situations.
- Communicating confidently: We will teach you how to effectively communicate with sexual partners, in relationships, express your desires, and navigate connections within and outside your cultural context.
- Empowering Voices: Develop the skills to assert yourself confidently, ask questions, and seek support in matters related to sex and relationships.

This workshop is tailored for immigrant daughters and womxn living within multiple cultures who want to promote positive attitudes towards sexuality, by building knowledge about sex and intimacy.Â

Facilitators:
Our experienced facilitators, Nancy Diaz, and Gabriela Rivas Ureta are passionate about promoting open communication and empowering women and femmes to discover their true self. Nancy Diaz is a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in helping womxn of color who are daughters of immigrants. Gabriela Rivas Ureta is an intersectional sexologist and sex educator who is passionate about decolonising minds and bodies from shame and guilt.
