Get ready to break out your best bling and outfits and join us for Bernie's Break Out! This early career drag competition promises to be a night of fierce talent and unforgettable performances as five talented early career drag performers take the stage and compete for the crown.

Don't miss out on the chance to witness these rising stars of the drag community, and experience the vibrant and inclusive culture of the LGBTQ+ community.  With pre-drinks and arrivals from 7:30pm, it’s the perfect opportunity to relax, socialize and enjoy some fabulous entertainment.

What time does it start?

Doors open and pre-drinks are available from 7:30pm. The show itself will start at 8:30pm sharp.

How much does it cost?

It's FREE to attend! But space is limited, so make sure yuo save yourself a spot and get your tickets quick.

Who can attend this event?

This event is appropriate for ages 15+. All minors must be in the company of their guardian.

Who is competing?

Applications for the competition are currently open. Contestants will be chosen from those who have submitted an application. All those competing have less than 2 years career experience in drag.

Who are the judges?

Our judges panel consist of of Glenda Jackson, an icon on Newcastle's drag community, Orlando Gloom, a superstar of Newcastle's Drag scene, and Gracie Crumbs, one of the founders of Bernie's Bar.

What does the winner receive?

Competitors are in the running to win a prize pack including future paid performance bookings, gift vouchers, event tickets, make up sets, merch and products from our sponsors, as well as cash! Full details will be released on our socials.
