Breast Cancer Awareness Morning
Event description
Join us for an empowering morning featuring healthcare professionals Dr Lesley Stafford and Dr Jocelyn Lippey, alongside breast-cancer survivors Sharyn Kolieb, Sarah Singer and Rachel Ben Atar. We’ll cover what to look for, where to get help, and how our community can stand with women through diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Certain BRCA gene variants are more common in people with Jewish heritage and can increase breast-cancer risk. This session will help you understand the basics and take practical steps toward early detection and support.
You’ll leave with:
Clear, up-to-date facts on risk, screening and early detection
Pathways to support (medical, community and peer)
Insightful first-person stories of courage and resilience
A sense of connection
