Health & Safety
While breathwork is a safe and well-researched practice, it does create physiological changes in the body. For your safety, please note the following:
🔹 Never practice breathwork in water or while driving.
🔹 The following conditions are contraindicated for conscious connected breathwork:
- Pregnancy
- Cardiovascular disease or high blood pressure
- Detached retina or glaucoma
- Brain or abdominal aneurysm
- Epilepsy
- Uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid conditions
- Bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
If you have any of the above conditions, a modified technique may be recommended. Please contact Carl with any questions or concerns.
Preparation & What to Bring
🌟 Arrive on a relatively empty stomach (only a very light breakfast up to 2 hours before)
🌟 Limit caffeine and avoid alcohol/stimulants on the day
🌟 Wear loose, comfortable clothing
🌟 Hydrate well – bring a water bottle
🌟 Yoga mats, bolsters, eye pillows and blankets are provided
