Event description

Dr Jane Hogan is an early career researcher and lecturer, an experienced intellectual property lawyer, a knowledge manager, and an experienced organisational leader. After many years in legal practice as a patent litigator and in management roles in commercial law firms, Jane chose to undertake a PhD at UTS as a Quentin Bryce Scholar in order to contribute more broadly to a fair and just society. Jane’s research looks at the regulation of AI generally, including AI used in legal services, with a focus on ensuring that the regulation supports those uses of AI that will improve our society and our daily lives.

Keen to see Jane in action outside this talk? Jane also teaches in the UTS Law subjects Equity and Trusts, Just Tech, and from next year will be teaching in the Applied Project in Law, Innovation and Technology (Capstone 2) which is the culmination of the Legal Futures and Technology Major. Check out your study plan for when you can choose these subjects in your law degree.
