Event description

Considered "one of the most exciting and interesting guitarists of the new generation of musicians," Australian guitarist Brett Gómez is quickly establishing himself as a compelling voice in the world of classical guitar. Known for his deep musical insight into the Baroque and Spanish repertoire, he brings a rare combination of technical mastery and creative vision to his music.

Born in 1995 and raised in a musically inclined family, Brett’s journey with the guitar began at an early age under the guidance of his father. His love for the instrument led him to formal studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Vladimir Gorbach, followed by further studies at the prestigious Universität Mozarteum Salzburg under Marco Tamayo. He also undertook private studies with Judicaël Perroy and Ekachai Jearakul, both of whom profoundly shaped his approach to interpretation and technique.

Brett has captivated audiences across Europe, Asia, and Australia. His passion for fl amenco led him to Andalucía, Spain, where he performed extensively both as a soloist and as an accompanist. His artistry has been recognised in numerous international guitar competitions, where he has been a laureate, showcasing his remarkable sensitivity and musicianship.

With upcoming concert tours on the horizon, Brett continues to explore the full expressive potential of the classical guitar, sharing its beauty with audiences worldwide.
