Padre Coffee Brewing Workshop: Chemex & V60

Whether you're thinking to get into filter brewing, looking for tips to level up your pourover brewing game or just keen to see what Padre workshops are about and learn a bit more about specialty coffee, this is the workshop for you. Join us as one of our knowledgable baristas explains and demonstrates the Chemex & V60 brewing methods, and sample the results. 

Pourover is often considered to be the gold standard of manual filter brewing, and is valued for the way it allows the delicate origin characteristics and flavour profile of coffees shine. Pourover is an extremely delicate way of brewing coffee and results in a light-bodied, complex cup with a lot of clarity. 

In this workshop, we will be breaking down and brewing two of the most popular pourover brew methods: V60 and Chemex. We'll talk you through the differences in these methods and cup profiles, and let you sample each.

Although this is a free event, numbers will be capped at 10 to ensure there is enough coffee to go around. Be sure to secure your spot as we will be unable to allow walk-ins on the day.

Session goals:

• Learn the principles of pourover brewing through an explanation and demonstration
• Get to know the differences between V60 and Chemex
