Bridge Pa Wine Festival 2025
Event description
Join us for the 11th Annual Bridge Pa Wine Festival 2025 hosted by the wineries of the Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District on Saturday 18th January 2025. Venues open at 10:30am and the festival closes at 5:00pm.
This year the participating wineries are: Abbey Estate, Alpha Domus, Ash Ridge Winery, Oak Estate, Paritua Winery, Red Metal Vineyard, Sileni Wines, Zaria Wines, Bostock Wines, and Radburnd Cellars located across nine venues in the Bridge Pa Triangle.
All of the festival venues are connected by Hop On/Hop Off Buses throughout the day, allowing you to visit multiple wineries and enjoy a multitude of wine experiences.
Each winery will offer a range of activities, including wine tasting, food, and live music. Visit each participating winery’s Facebook page or the Bridge Pa Triangle Facebook page to see the activities for the day.
Prices:
General Admission only - $60 per person plus fees.
A general admission ticket gets you access to all of the festival sites, hop on/hop off buses that travel between each festival site, a festival brochure and festival glass. Do not purchase this ticket if you require bus transport from town. Entry for General Admission tickets is at any of the participating wineries.
If you are making your way to the festival by car please note that parking may be limited at some of the wineries. If the parking area is full then proceed to another winery for admission processing. There are temporary speed restrictions around the venues in the Bridge Pa Triangle on the day of the festival and we request that you observe the signposted speed limits.
Bus Transport and General Admission - $80 per person plus fees
In addition to General Admission get a bus from a city pick-up point. Select the pick up point you wish to use and the time. Buses will pick up from the following places:
• Napier – buses depart from Napier Aquarium
• Taradale – buses depart from the Lee Road Bus stop opposite McDonald’s car park.
• Hastings – buses depart from the Cenotaph, Russell St South.
• Havelock North – buses depart from the Havelock North i-Site, Te Aute Road.
• Waipukurau - buses depart from the Bogle Brother's Esplanade bus stop.
• Waipawa - buses depart from the car park of the Central Hawke's Bay Museum.
Please be at the pick up point at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. Buses will depart Hastings, Havelock North, Taradale and Napier pick up locations at 10:00am, 10:15am and 10.30am.
Buses will depart the Waipukurau pick up location at 10:00am then proceed to Waipawa. These buses will then depart the Waipawa pickup location at 10:15am.
Please ensure you are on the correct bus and time for your ticket. Tickets must be printed and shown to bus drivers upon boarding. Buses will depart promptly - please don’t be late!
Multiple buses depart from each location at the same time. Please note each bus will go to a different festival site which is randomly selected on the day for registration. Once at the festival you can catch a shuttle to get to one of the other participating wineries.
Admission prices do not include the cost of wine or food. Please do not bring any alcohol or food with you.
This event will go ahead rain or shine, it will not be cancelled for weather. Tickets are limited so be quick to book.
Online sales of tickets will finish at 5 pm on the day before the festival. Please bring a scannable ticket from Humanitix for entry, this must be either a paper copy or phone screen shot (please be aware that mobile reception is not guaranteed in the vineyards), all tickets will be scanned at registration.
Tickets are restricted to people over the age of 18, Please bring an NZ driving license, NZ 18+ card or a passport as a valid form of identification.
Refunds:
Refunds are available if you change your mind or purchase an incorrect ticket. This is a feature available through Humanitix. Do not contact the organizers. You can refund a ticket up to seven (7) days prior to the event and refunds will not be available after 10:30am Saturday 11th January 2025. If you wish to sell your ticket after the refund cutoff time please use the Humanitix ticket resell service which we will enable for the last seven days before the event.
Alternative transport to venues.
As responsible hosts, we recommend you use the buses to get to and from the festival. If you’re travelling by car full day parking is available at some of the wineries. If a winery parking is full, then cars will be directed to another participating winery. At the end of the day please ensure that you are at the winery where you parked by 5pm.
Catering:
Each winery will have a range of food options available from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Free water is available at all festival sites.
Wheelchair Access:
The Bridge Pa Wine Festival venues are wheelchair friendly; however, the transfer buses and shuttle buses are not wheelchair accessible. You will need to provide your own transport between festival venues.
Under the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012:
The wineries promote the responsible consumption of alcohol. Food, water, and non-alcoholic drinks are available at all participating wineries.
- Intoxicated persons will be refused entry at all festival sites.
- Intoxicated persons will not be served alcohol.
- Spot checks of bags may be undertaken at the entry and exit points to all festival sites.
- Any unauthorized alcohol will be confiscated.
- Alcohol cannot be taken into or out of any festival site, and will not be allowed on buses.
Departure
Please note that all bars and food outlets will cease at 5:00pm.
The return bus for Waipawa and Waipukurau will depart from Sileni at 5:15pm. Please ensure that you are at Sileni by 5pm for boarding.
Return buses for other locations will start leaving from all wineries at 5:00pm and may go to other wineries to pickup passengers before returning to town.
Covid-19 Event Restrictions
In the event of the Government reintroducing event restrictions that prevent the Festival from going ahead all tickets will be refunded.
Bridge Pa Wine Festival Covid-19 Policy
To help with our fight against Covid-19, and in the interest of The Health and Safety at Work Act requiring us to take all practicable steps to keep employees and customers safe from harm, the event organizers would prefer it if you were fully vaccinated. If you show any symptoms prior to the event, in accordance with the Ministry of Health guidelines, we advise you to stay home.
We ask that you too play your part in making the Bridge Pa Wine Festival a safe event environment.
