    Event description

The 135th Bridgetown Show is on Saturday 23rd November 2024 - it's Family Time, Show Time and Community Time!

Our theme this year is "Blackwood to the Beach" and highlights all the wonderful aspects of the country that this beautiful river travels including the flora and fauna and landscapes all the way to the sea.

All the favourites are happening including fireworks, log chops, sideshow alley with $6 exciting rides (including the Zipper, Super Trooper, Bungy Trampolines) as well as the $6 rides for the younger ones including a merry go round and Kids Train. Plus this year we have mermaids, critters up close, Ranger Red's zoo, a sand pit as well as the vintage cars, model railway, blacksmiths, sheaf tossing and stalls.

All the livestock you expect at an agricultural show are there - cattle, sheep, goats, poultry plus sheep shearing demonstrations and horse events.

Competitions for kids include the Surfboard Competition with entries on display and ‘Kids Know Your Show Activity Passport’ on the day.

The MacMahon Dump Truck simulator and the Instrukta Truck will be there for you all to have a go…. plus Laserscape, SES, RAC Rescue helicopter and Fireworks at 8pm

Centenary Hall and the Wool Shed are full of exhibits with so much local talent plus the local wines, spirits and ciders are all there for the tastings in Rowan Hall. The bar will be open later in the day.

Entertainment includes some great popular acts including the Sambanistas. Albany Shantymen, Apex Canines, Jamie the Clown, Old Time Fiddler, Salty Sketches plus local acts including the Jubilee Singers, Primary School Choir, Chantelle Pearce & Friends, Geoff Sheehan, Mary Myfanwy & the Sisters of Corn.

Plenty of market stalls including food (but you can bring your own to keep your costs down). The wash against waste trailer will be on display on the oval.

Something for everyone and run by our dedicated Show Committee volunteers.
