Cancer Council Brief Vaping Intervention Training

As part of their VAPE Support programs, Cancer Council ACT will be providing a brief intervention training session at UC O-Week.

A brief intervention is a short, three to ten minute conversation which can be used to effectively support someone with vaping, smoking, or other nicotine product use. In this session you will gain the knowledge and skills required to conduct a brief intervention and will be provided the opportunity to practice delivering a brief intervention.

The session is designed with a focus on physical activity and sport, but the skills are transferable. We want to support all Canberrans to be able to effectively talk to a young person and help them if they want to make a quit attempt.
