Description
"WON'T YOU PUT DOWN THAT SCRIPT AND JUST TALK TO ME?"
It's the immersive, tragicomic musical theatre experience like no other, where for one night you get to step through the fourth wall and sit in* on a rehearsal of the world's first and only lawn-themed musical.
Prepare to lose your self in the unreal world of the Bright family and their (quite literally) growing enterprise: "Bright, Bright & Bright Lawning Co." In this magnum-opus-in-progress by Adelaide's own Elliott Bright, a manager of a lawn company struggles to face the reality of a looming presentation to the board.
Join us this July at Neat Freak for the latest, abridged edition of the musical, "The Dress Rehearsal":
Wednesday 15 July (Preview), 7pm
Saturday 18 July (Opening and Closing Night), 8pm
Business attire encouraged. Arrive at least 15 minutes before start time.
Expect scripted chaos and improvised orderliness. Featuring original songs such as commercial failures 'Table Read' and 'Self Tape', performed live by the Family Fortune band.
Music & Lyrics by Elliott Bright
Book by Elliott Bright
Runtime approx. 80 minutes
*Audience involvement possible but entirely voluntary.

Lost my self in this musical
Memorable
I remember thinking to my self: "I'm going to remember this".
Was that deep? I think it was deep.
