Event description

Brimbank City Council's Climate Emergency Plan 2020-2025 is drawing to a close and Council will be delivering a new Climate Emergency Strategy to guide our climate action for the years to come.

Climate action is about halting climate change through reducing our use of fossil fuels and transitioning to renewable energy. It’s also about adapting to a world that we know will be affected by climate change that’s already happening.

In Brimbank, we know that our community is passionate about taking action to look after the environment and are already feeling the effects of heat waves. Because climate change affects us all, it’s important that the Brimbank community have a say in what actions Council takes.

The Brimbank Community Climate Forum will be an opportunity to participate in a guided workshop and discussion to inform the draft of our ten-year Climate Emergency Strategy and the future of climate action in Brimbank.

Can't make this session? There are plenty opportunities to give feedback. See the Brimbank Events website for more information at events.brimbank.vic.gov.au
