Brisbane Chamber Choir: Tides of Ocean - Southport

'Tides of Ocean', taken from Matthew Orlovich's energetic and buoyant piece, is one of three performances of the Brisbane Chamber Choir, directed by Graeme Morton, bringing their rich, immersive sound world to communities across South East Queensland, sharing choral music inspired by themes of water, landscape, and motion.

In this concert, the choir presents a varied programme, from master works of the English Renaissance by Byrd and Tallis, to more recent works by Australian composers, Orlovich, Leek and Morton. The programme includes the premiere of a new arrangement of the poignant work 'Beach Burial' by Andrew Schultz based on the poem of the same name by WWII correspondent Kenneth Slessor.
