Event description

Come along and compete in the 2025 Brisbane Twilight Imperium tournament. The tournament will be played over two days. Saturday will consist of preliminary games, and the winner of each of those games will advance to the final game on Sunday. For anyone who doesn't make the final, casual games will be organised for Sunday.

More Than Meeples has kindly provided prizes for this tournament. The overall tournament winner will receive an $80 gift voucher, each of the other five preliminary game winners will receive a $30 gift voucher, and each casual game winner on the Sunday will receive a $5 gift voucher.

Subject to numbers, the final game will be six players, and there will be six preliminary games. The preliminary games will each be a MiltyDraft with nine factions and seven slices, with otherwise default settings. The final game will be a modified rulebook map build with a faction ban and draft. Unless a player requests otherwise, decisions will be reversible if no new information has been revealed.

Games will use the Prophecy of Kings expansion, and as many Codices as practical. Players who provide their copy of the game for use will be reimbursed $5 per day. Copies will be chosen first for completeness of Codices, then by earliest ticket purchase. If a fourth Codex is released, it may be included or excluded depending on how far in advance of the tournament it is released.

The tournament will take place in the Innovation Studio in I block as Brisbane State High School. Click here for a map of the campus. Access and car parking details will be announced as soon as they are confirmed. The South Bank train station and South Bank busway station are both less than 400m away from the campus.

There may be a kitchenette with fridge available for use, but this is to be confirmed. There's also plenty of places to eat within walking distance.
