Event description

In this STEAM-based workshop for kids in grades 3-8, we'll learn a bit about circuits as we build bristlebots - small robots made with vibrating motors on the head of a toothbrush! Then we'll put our bots through their paces with a variety of activities. We'll explore ways to refine our robots to get the results we're looking for and then test out our ideas. Participants will go home with their unique bristlebot to continue their investigations.

Participants who register for this workshop along with the afternoon Hexbug Mania workshop will be invited to stay for a short, nut-free lunch break between classes.

This workshop is open to students in grades 3-8. We cannot make accommodations for siblings outside of this age group.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A SIGNED WAIVER ON FILE. You can print it in advance or sign it onsite. While drop-offs are fine, an adult must escort participants into the space and provide two contact numbers in case of an emergency. Please do not drop your child at the door. Likewise, an adult must pick the child up from the space at the end of the workshop. Thank you for understanding.
