Bristol BID’s Green & Blue Vision Launch
Description
Join Bristol BID for the launch of the Green & Blue Vision for Bristol city centre and to celebrate the winning ideas from our Big Green Ideas for Bristol Harbour Competition.
Bristol BID has worked with MOOWD to develop a Green & Blue Vision for the city centre, exploring how we can bring more greening, art, seating and opportunities to enjoy our public spaces.
At this event we will share the vision, talk through the ideas and proposed strategies, and hear your thoughts on how we can bring them to life.
We will then reveal the three winning ideas from our Big Green Ideas for Bristol Harbour Competition. The winners will present their designs and share their ideas for how Bristol Harbour could be enhanced, followed by an opportunity for questions, discussion and feedback.
This event is part of Brazen Festival's Clean Theme, this theme explores the innovation driving the transition to a more sustainable future.
We will hear from:
· Tom Swithinbank, Senior Project Manager at Bristol BID
Tom will share his reflections on developing the Green & Blue Vision and outline where Bristol BID is looking for support and collaboration to help make the vision happen.
· Mike Cowdy, Co-Founder + Director at MOOWD
Mike will introduce the Green & Blue Vision, sharing how it has been developed, what it includes and the opportunities and next steps for taking the ideas forward.
· Hillary Cuddy, Director of Services at Design West
Design West will share their experience of hosting and judging Bristol’s first design competition of this kind, before we reveal and celebrate the three winning designs.
There will be plenty of time for questions, discussion and sharing ideas. We will capture the key points and feedback from the event to help inform Bristol BID’s ongoing work with Bristol City Council, the West of England Combined Authority and other key stakeholders.
The event will also be a chance to meet and connect with other senior business representatives from across Bristol city centre, with everyone invited to stay afterwards for drinks and informal networking.
