Event description
We are excited to have Penny Evans and Lorraine Hudson from the Bristol Living Lab, UK share their expertise. The Bristol Living Lab is hosted by the Knowle West Media Centre. They have amazing array of projects, not many labs make build homes with the community. They have develop the The Bristol Approach to citizen science projects and are one of the leaders in the EU project called ParCos. The Living Lab programme enables skills, employment and enterprise opportunities for people in South Bristol and across neighbourhoods in Bristol. Penny and Lorraine will give a 20-30 minute talk followed by questions.
Lorraine has over 20 years’ experience of working in the environmental, digital technology and education sectors, with a particular focus on working with citizens on the co-creation of sustainable cities and communities. She also supports projects that contribute to inclusive growth and wellbeing and that share learning across the region. Lorraine is a ENoLL award winner.
Penny Evans is one of the founding members of Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC). Penny currently leads on the strategic development of KWMC The Factory a digital fabrication design and prototype micro-manufacturing hub and maker space. A site for new modes of manufacturing, circular economy and sustainable materials through to new skills, product development and business models.
