Event description
Sydney, get ready! Brown Women Poetry is partnering with WestWords for an intimate evening of poetry and spoken word. Join us to share joy, pain and art together in a space held by sisterhood.
We welcome people of all genders and cultural heritages to attend this celebration of voice, vulnerability and strength. Families are welcome, parental guidance may be required for young children due to the mature themes of some poems.
Showcase
Doors will open at 6.30pm, get in quick for the best seats! WestWords is an easy walk from Parramatta Interchange, as well as several carparks.
When: 7pm - 8.30pm
Where: WestWords, 41 Hunter Street, Parramatta
Our host for the evening is the heartwarming Rupa Parthasarathy.
Afterparty
It wouldn’t be a South Asian gathering without food! After the show, you’re invited to join us to grab a bite to eat, toast to a good night and connect with these amazing women.

Where: Nautanki Sala, 79 Macquarie Street, Parramatta (just around the corner from WestWords)
