On Thursday 1st May at the Red Mill Distillery, Balmain, join Bruce Wolpe in conversation with Nick Bryant.
Copies of What Trump's Second Term Means For Australia will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with Wolpe signing copies after the discussion

We are thrilled to announce a new addition to our lineup of venue partners for author events. Red Mill, located in the heart of White Bay, offers guests an exceptional experience within their distillery.
Red Mill is based in the historic White Bay Steelworks, just across from the inner-west icon, the White Bay Power Station. Red Mill makes small batches of high-quality Rum to age in a special barrel program, blended and bottled in their wonderful, industrial home. Visiting Red Mill is a chance to see the workings of an artisanal distillery, in the historic surrounds of this remarkable building. Refreshments available to purchase include wine, beer and a signature Red Mill cocktail. We look forward to welcoming you to this unique venue. For dinner options, attendees can head to The Welcome Hotel Rozelle.
Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot.

ABOUT BRUCE WOLPE
Bruce Wolpe is a Senior Fellow (non-resident) at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. He worked with the Democrats in the US Congress during President Barack Obama's first term, he was a senior advisor for Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and he was a senior executive at Fairfax Media 1998 – 2009. He is author of The Committee, and Lobbying Congress and Trump’s Australia, 2023.

ABOUT THE HOST
During a career spanning almost thirty years, Nick Bryant came to be regarded as one of the BBC’s finest foreign correspondents and was described as ‘the new Alistair Cooke’. He has been posted in Washington, South Asia, Australia and, most recently, New York, where he covered the Trump years. His writing has appeared in The Economist, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Monthly and The New Statesman. He broadcasts regularly on the BBC and ABC. Nick studied history at Cambridge and has a doctorate in American politics from Oxford. He now lives in Sydney with his wife and children. His book, When America Stopped Being Great: A History of the Present, currently resides on Joe Biden’s bookshelf in the Oval Office. Nick Bryant is the author of the bestselling and highly acclaimed The Forever War, published by Penguin Books 2024. Nick hosts Saturday Extra on ABC Radio National.
