Bendigo Sustainable House Day - The Forest Gallery

We have a second home showing as well for Sustainable House Day on Saturday 23rd of August, in the Wellsford State Forest. See our other events for more info!

This second event will showcase a similar home, built with mudbricks from the forest, featuring solar panels, batteries, many creatively upcycled gardens and buildings, inspiring examples of recycling and composting, as well as Terry Jarvis’s at home Art Gallery - all just 2km away from the first home. We will facilitate a walk and drive to and from both homes.

We will share knowledge and experiences in this wonderful example of how humble sustainability, comfort, and creativity can come together. As part of the visit, the Forest Gallery will be open for those who love art and nature, with sustainable features to inspire and discover practical ways to sustainable living.

Whether you're renovating, building, or just curious about greener living, you'll find plenty of inspiration here. You’ll also have the chance to meet like-minded people, ask questions, and connect with those passionate about sustainable homes, energy efficiency, and living lighter on the land.
