BSL Burns Supper 2027 – Deaf Action

Deaf Action’s annual BSL Burns Supper is back for 2027!

Join us on Friday 15 January 2027 in Edinburgh for a spectacular evening celebrating Scottish heritage and Deaf culture, all delivered in British Sign Language (BSL).

This much-loved event has sold out every year for the past five years, so be sure to book early to avoid missing out.

Celebrate the Bard in style with a traditional Burns Supper experience, including Burns recitals, the Toast to the Haggis, fine dining, whisky, and live entertainment. The evening concludes with a lively ceilidh, with staff on hand to guide you through the dances – perfect for both beginners and experienced dancers alike.

Arrival & Timings

Please arrive in good time. The ground floor bar will be open before the event if you’d like a drink.

• 5:30pm – Guest arrival

• 6:00pm – Main hall opens

• 6:30pm – Piper’s Toast

• 6:45pm – Dinner service begins

• 8:30pm – Dinner service ends

• 9:00pm – Ceilidh begins

• 11:00pm – Ceilidh ends

• Midnight – Venue closes

The ground floor bar will remain open until 3:00am for those who wish to continue the evening.

Dietary Requirements

When booking your ticket, you will be asked to provide details of any dietary requirements or allergies. Please ensure this information is completed accurately so we can accommodate your needs.

If you are booking multiple tickets, you will be asked to provide names and dietary requirements for each of your guests. You can update any dietary requirements by emailing admin@deafaction.org.


Dress Code

Smart dress required.
No jeans or trainers.
Tartan is warmly encouraged. The more tartan, the better!

Ghillie Dhu, Edinburgh city centre

A stunning and accessible venue located in the heart of the city, making it easy to reach by public transport.
The venue is fully accessible, including a ramp for entry, a lift to the auditorium level, and accessible toilets on both floors.

Pricing

We remain committed to delivering a high-quality, accessible BSL Burns Supper. Due to rising venue costs, ticket prices this year are £85 per person to ensure the event can continue.
