Event description

Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud.

We are once again excited to be holding our annual fundraising dinner event to coincide with NAIDOC Week celebrations. We are privileged to trade on Cammeraygal land and are excited to announce our next fundraising dinner event will be across two nights! We are also excited to be collaborating with our friends from Bush to Bowl for an exciting evening.

We will be hosting a 4-course dinner event at BTB Kirribilli where native produce is front and centre. We are fortunate to work with incredible produce found on this great land and these dinner events provide an outlet for us to express our creative energy for a great cause. As per previous events, the night will involve an alternative expression of native foods similar to what you see from our cafe paired with its ability to celebrate those who have driven and led change across many generations within and for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation. Coomaditchie is an organisation located on the South Coast of New South Whales that is dedicated to raising the esteem, pride and dignity of young Aboriginal people in their culture and heritage. They do this by connecting local communities through not only culture, but through art and bush regeneration. Bush to Bowl has been dedicated to the education and growth of the Coomaditchie bushfood nursery. Donating their time, resources and seeds to build a sustainable farm they have helped form stable employment for the community, that in turn sells the produce back to bush to bowl. Some of these ingredients we will be showcasing on the night!

Indigenous artists from the Coomaditchie clan will also be showcasing their artworks at BTB (some artworks that were shown at the National Art Gallery of Australia a few months prior) with all works for sale during NAIDOC week and all proceeds going to these artists.

Please contact us with any dietary requirement and we look forward to celebrating with each and every one of you.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and pay respects to Elders past and present. We are proud to be operating on Cammeraygal land.
