BTC Fashion Reimagined

Be The Change Film Series (BTC) is pleased to present FASHION REIMAGINED on Wednesday February 17, 2027; 7 pm at the Simcoe Street Theatre. This documentary follows Amy Powney, the innovative designer behind Mother of Pearl, as she sets out to revolutionize the fashion industry by creating a fully sustainable collection. Motivated by her rural, off-the-grid upbringing and activist roots, Amy uses her Vogue Best Young Designer of the Year award as a launching pad to examine and challenge fashion’s environmental impact. Over three years, the film chronicles her efforts to transform her business from sourcing raw materials to producing finished garments, offering viewers an inside look at the challenges and triumphs of building a more ethical and sustainable fashion brand.
